Launching into Buzzing bee puts you in a simple but bright colored menu. Tap the middle and start flapping away. I immedietely got to work trying to get a score. Not a high score, just a score in general. Making it past the 1st pipes took about 15 tries. Making it past the 2nd didn't happen easily. Something about the bees physics felt off, nothing likely flappy bird. It seems quick taps are the way to really get past these pipes, like the only way.

It boasts a solid leaderboard (highest score ever being a whopping 47). With over 10k downloads, this tells you how difficult it is to control her. I appreciate the leaderboard. It is a solid touch. However 2 back buttons on the same screen seems silly. The leaderboards allow you to name yourself but with little oversight or moderation. We have a user with 100 flag emojis and another calling us all losers. Nice. Something about scrolling all the way back up the list doesn't sit right either.
There is a shop to unlock skins and backgrounds with a way to unlock them all through IAP. Unfortunantly, their IAP system is broken so I can't give you price on it or what the unlocks look like. Buzzing bee also has achievements, mostly just "play x games" or "score x amount" really what else can you put in a simple game but thank you for the effort. It gives a tiny goal to work for. Overall the extra features are a bonus but it falls short in difficulty and inneffecient UI flows.
Monetization
Free to play with a shop for skins and backgrounds. There’s an IAP option to unlock everything at once, but the purchase system is currently broken so I couldn’t test prices or see the full unlocks. No ads that I ran into during play.
Gameplay
It’s a pure Flappy Bird clone. The core loop is simple but the physics feel off, making it much harder than it should be. Quick successive taps seem to be the only reliable way to survive. Achievements give you small goals to chase and the global leaderboard adds a competitive edge, even if the top score of 47 shows just how punishing the controls are.
Visuals
Bright, colorful and clean. The bee and environments are simple but cheerful. Nothing fancy, but it looks fine for a quick watch game.
Controls
This is the weakest part. The bee’s movement feels floaty and unresponsive compared to classic Flappy Bird. Accidental swipes or slow taps will kill you constantly. The two back buttons on the same screen and the awkward leaderboard scrolling don’t help either.
Buzzing Bee tries hard with leaderboards, achievements and unlockable skins, which is more than most basic clones offer. Unfortunately the awkward physics and stiff controls make it frustrating instead of fun. If you love extremely difficult Flappy Bird style games and don’t mind fighting the controls, it’s free and has some extras. For most people though, the difficulty curve and UI quirks will probably send you looking for something smoother.
