About this app
Written by the developer, from the store listing.
Classic Hangman, built for a round watch screen. Find the hidden English word one letter at a time before the figure on the gallows is complete. You have six chances. HOW YOU PLAY - Turn the bezel or crown, or swipe the letter strip, to move through the alphabet - Tap the big middle letter to guess it; tap a side letter to step one place - A correct letter fills every matching blank. A wrong one costs a chance - Letters you have tried leave the strip, so you never guess the same one twice 5,000 WORDS, THREE LEVELS - Easy: 4 to 5 letters, 1,500 words - Medium: 6 to 7 letters, 2,000 words - Hard: 8 to 10 letters, 1,500 words Pick one of seven categories (Animals, Food, Nature, Objects, Places, Sports, Everyday) or play all of them. Each level and category draws every word once before any word comes back. TWO HINTS, IF YOU WANT THEM Tap the bulb. A definition hint shows a short English clue for 20 points; reveal letter fills in one missing letter for 40 points without using a chance. Each can be used once per word, and reading the clue again is free. SCORES AND STREAKS A win scores 100 points, plus a bonus for Medium and Hard, 15 for every chance left and 5 for every letter. Wins in a row build your streak. Each level keeps its own Top 20 on the watch. NO RUSH There is no timer. Every guess is saved, so you can leave mid-word and pick up where you stopped. OFFLINE AND PRIVATE The whole word list is inside the app. No phone app, no account, no internet, no ads and no tracking. GOOD TO KNOW - The words, the clues and the app's menus are in English. - Needs Wear OS 3 or newer. - The word list is built from wordfreq and Princeton WordNet; the sources and licenses can be read in Settings.
